I currently use 35 of these for my main setup and fifteen for my office. I would recommend a block every 12 to 15 inches. I hand make these based on the Cardas Multi blocks. I found the Cardas ones to be too expensive ($56 for 6 [$9.33 each vs. $4.99 each for mine]). Cardas ones also fell over very easily (only 1″ thick vs. 1 3/16″ for mine), especially on carpet. Their slots were small and not good for any thick cords (especially power cords). They were also very low (only 1 5/8″ vs. 3 1/2″ for mine), forcing me to use more than one in a spot to jump cords, increasing the cost dramatically. The blocks in this listing are sturdier, higher and have bigger slots.
