Built in rue Pont d’Avroy when it was considerably widened (12 m more) for the Universal Exhibition of 1905, it incorporates the buildings of the first Mohren hotel, fitted out in 1876 by the architect Castermans. A two-bay building running as far as Place Saint-Paul, it had a new façade overlooking rue Pont d’Avroy in 1905-1906. It is an asymmetrical building whose ground floor and first floor have been remodeled several times (including a last time in 2006), the upper floors remaining intact. The architectonic, composite elements are very worked: bosses, projections, volutes, engaged pilasters, Corinthian capitals, pediments, modillions, balustrades… The building blends in perfectly with the eclectic style of the buildings on the street. The astonishing façade of Place Saint-Paul, dating from 1910, is the work of architect Clément Pirnay.
