This is a Kodak No.1 Diomatic Anastigmat Vigilant Six-20 folding Camera, produced from 1939-1949. All of the dials and levers move. NOTE: When I press the shutter button, I don’t see anything happening in the lens (I expected to see something retract to let the light in like other cameras. Not sure if this is normal for this type of camera). Camera has a small red window in the back of the camera (typically hidden by the round silver « disc » shown in the pic). This is where the owner would watch to see that the film doesn’t advance too far. The sliding disc that covers the window is a little tight, but it will move. There’s still glass in both « view finders » that flip up from the top of the body. As seen in the pics, the « lid » does not latch to the body. I don’t see any tears or holes in the bellows. I found this camera inside the soft case shown, but I’m pretty sure this is not the original case for this camera (although it does fit nicely). Once you open the camera and lock it in place, hold the camera so that it faces you and apply gentle pressure to the two metal « arms » that extend at an angle to release the locking mechanism. This would be a great addition to any camera collection. It definitely has an « old time smell » to it, which I think adds to the uniqueness of the camera. Label inside says « Serviced Jan ’60 ». Because I’m unable to test with film, the camera is being sold as is. Approximate Dimensions: 6 1/4″W x 3 3/8″H. The body is 1 1/4″W (1 1/2″ if you include the width of the lid). Weighs 1 lb. 7 oz.
