You need a NEW variable speed switch. Vitamix calls this switch a » POTENTIOMETER ». Most Vitamix machines have the 2-wire setup some of the older ones have the 3-wire, this H.D. switch has both. If you have it fixed by Vitamix it will set you back $100 and you have to ship the machine back and forth to OHIO.
