Kershaw upgraded to premium D2 steel on this version but there are older ones still out there without the D2. Emerson Wave feature will deploy the blade to full lockup and have it ready when pulling out of pocket. Frame lock is rock solid, and the knife has absolutely no wiggle or play when open.
