Up for sale today is a brand new Cane Creek 40 headset. This headset is complete and has never been installed, but comes with no packaging, so is being sold as « New other ». The headset is for frames with a ZS 44 top and a ZS56 bottom. The headset is currently configured to be used with a fork with a 1-1/8″ to 1.5″ tapered steer tube. If your fork has a straight 1-1/8″ steertube, you will need to purchase a different crown race. The Cane Creek Forty name has long been known as the go-to headset for long-lasting quality that won’t empty your bank account. This performance headset borrows technology and design from Cane Creek’s top-of-the-line 110 headset, offering similar longevity and performance without the price tag. The Forty uses a full-alloy construction, with 6000 series alloy cups for lightweight precision that resists corrosion. The ZN40 sealed cartridge bearings are zinc-coated for corrosion resistance, with hardened steel ball bearings for smooth operation and durability.
