Years in the making !! have you been looking for original one piece balloon tires for your 1970-74 Honda ATC90 and keep coming up with junk rotted tires for $600 each or in the rare chance you actually find a nice tire the cost of $2,000 each drives you away . we have developed a snap in wheel cover that mimics the original Honda OHTSU balloon tire used on the 1970-74 ATC90s. this is 100% our design starting with a 3d scan of an NOS OHTSU balloon tire to get the outside sidewall design exact in design and size then we hired a crew of engineers to develop the structure behind the front plastic where it will click on to a 8 inch ATV wheel . These will only work on an 8 inch diameter wheel and will work on both steel and aluminum wheels then we had an injection mold made by a tool and die company going off the CAD drawings this costs us $10s of thousands of dollars to have made its really the only way to get a perfect product over and over again without any variations, we used ABS plastic to make these as it is very strong and durable and the mold maker made the finish on the front surface to mimic the look of rubber that would have been on the original atc90. spring clips were then designed and sent out to be made this will allow the cover to self center and grip the wheel it is attached to like a hub cap on a car . these are designed to be mounted on both the outside and the inside of the wheel so you will need 6 per ATC , we have tried several of the tires still available on the market that somewhat resemble the original us90 tire tread we found the CST Caribou size 22×10-8 and the maxxis 4 snow look pretty good . this is a great alternative to just using regular steel ATV wheels that takes away from that original US90 look. these covers will give the bike the « look » of real balloon tires . we have tried these covers on pretty much any 8inch wheel we could get our hands on and it has worked great on all of them. you can convert your early hubs to accept 8 inch wheels by using adapter plates or using later axles etc stay tuned we will be offering a complete conversion kit as well with brand new hubs to accept 4 on 4 bolt pattern 8 inch wheels and a brand new front axle and hub assembly to accept these same wheels , there are lots of ways you can convert to 8 inch wheels it just depends on your budget etc but these covers will work on any system you go with . you will receive 6 wheel covers and related clips they are made to be used on the front and rear of each wheel and these are setup for zero offset wheels or centered flange wheels size 8×8 4+4 or 8×7 3.5+3.5 you can use them on offset wheels as well as long as the clearance is there for the center part of the cover to clear NOTE !! These were designed to be used as a cosmetic accessory to make your US90 look as close as possible to the original OHTSU balloons without spending thousands of dollars they are great for a static show bike or light general riding Not designed for high speed or competition use !! the wheels, hubs and tires used in the pictures are for display purposes you are only buying the 6 plastic wheel simulators !! we also have Black 8X7 steel wheels available for $50 each just ask and we can add it to your invoice on checkout Free shipping in the US
