Good afternoon from Congers, NY. Every year in October, I try to thin down my watch collection and sell off the watches I have accumulated during the year. It’s Watchtober and I try to offer interesting, estate fresh watches at affordable prices. Happy buying and happy eBaying; I hope these go to good homes. Vintage 1970’s (1970?) gent’s Omega De Ville in gold plated stainless steel case. It is running, I have not timed the watch beyond simple observation. Top of lug to bottom of lug, 36 mm. Case is 31mm side to side; stem adds 1mm width (33mm). 18mm internal lug width for band. Band is a modern replaced Speidel band, genuine leather, I consider it a good match for the watch. Gold dial marked with « Ω » / « OMEGA/ Automatic » below 12:00. « De Ville » above 6:00 position. « Swiss Made » below 6:00 marker. Gold face, gold hour marks, black wording. Gold hands, crown is unmarked, calendar at 3:00 position. The case is mostly clean with a few dings here and there; see side photos for details. I would wear it like this, there’s nothing awful or distracting, but there is wear (it looks vintage). I’d say this was someone’s daily wear watch for a period of years. Reverse unmarked. Interior of case « Ω/ Omega/ Watch Co », « Fab Suisse/ Swiss Made/ (unknown pictorial mark) / Carrure-Lunette/ Plaque Or 6 20 Microns/ Fond Acier Inoxyoable/ 162045 ». No other marks noted inside case. Crystal is an authentic original signed Omega crystal. There is a tiny ping at 10:00 position (TINY). Some light marks here and there but totally wearable. 6 or 7/10, based mostly on the ping mark.Movement is an « Omega Watch Co Swiss / 1002 », serial numbered « 31497697 ». Should date to 1970 via the Omega serial number records. Offered for sale at $499.76. I have a little room, please feel free to make an offer.
