Super rare OG reference test print for what later became the iconic Yeezy Gap Dove tee. Designed by Betsy Johnson which has worked closely with Kanye and Playboi Carti among others, this is an official test print run used as a reference for the iconic Yeezy Dove graphic which was later used on tees and hoodies for the YGEBB line. It’s unknown how many of these were made and given how the design progressed it’s very possible that this particular design and print is a 1 of 1. Featuring an animated version of Lady Gaga in an iconic red outfit she used during the Chromatica Era on the front of the t-shirt. The anime-style graphic has been used for promo for some merchandise released by Crunchyroll. On the back it features the design for what later became the Dove logo, famously used in many variations of tees and hoodies. This tee is one of the first test prints done of the airbrush design featuring the white dove. The tee was sourced by Betsy Johnson while YZY was in Japan searching for references & inspo. The print test carries a closer design to the original airbrush with light hues of a skies & clouds glow around the dove.” The tee itself is in amazing shape, some minor wear. Given it is essentially a prototype the quality is not nearly the same as what was later released. There is no size tag or inner tags on the shirt.
